After a girls trip to New Orleans, Maddy and Steph came to a realization: Of all the hot sauces they had tried and owned, most of them were either all vinegar, all xanthan gum, or so hot you couldn’t taste anything else. There had to be a balance – hot sauce that celebrated food and it’s diversity. So they decided to make their own. Thus Cajun Queen came to be, using Maddy’s New Orleans native family Cajun Spice recipe (thanks, Mimi).
