Greg De Hoot

Owner and tattooer at Bad Fun Company in Youngsville, NC,  A Marshalltown, IA native, Greg left in 1995 to attend The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA. Where he immersed himself heavily into the tattoo, art and punk rock community. In 2009, Greg began his tattooing education in some of the most highly acclaimed shops, such as, Moms Body Shop (SF/CA) One Shot Tattoo (SF/CA), Alameda Tattoo (CA), and Yankee Doodle Dandy Tattoo (IA). In the fall of 2016, his journey brought him to Raleigh NC, with the fortunate opportunity of working in some of the best shops, like Blue Flame Tattoo, Oak City Tattoo and Warlocks. With the shutdown of 2020, Greg made a decision to open Bad Fun Company in Youngsville, a suburb of Raleigh, NC in March 2021. Since the doors opened, it has quickly established itself as one of the premier shops in the area. The shop has been bustling with lots of community events and guest artist.  He enjoys traveling both domestically and internationally whether it is a guest spot, attending conventions or getting lost on his chopper. He is well versed in many styles of tattooing, from American Traditional to Black and Gray realism.
