Richmond Tattoo & Arts Convention Names Studio Two Three as 2025 Nonprofit Partner
The Richmond Tattoo & Arts Convention, one of the longest-running gatherings of tattoo and fine artists in the world, is proud to announce its official 2025 nonprofit partner: Studio Two Three, a Richmond-based community arts nonprofit dedicated to creative expression, civic engagement, and artistic empowerment.
“Studio Two Three exists to empower artists and amplify community voices,” said Ashley Hawkins, Executive Director of Studio Two Three. “We’re honored to be the featured nonprofit partner for this incredible celebration of creativity, and we’re excited to connect with our local and global artist community in meaningful, hands-on ways throughout the weekend.”
The partnership will be celebrated October 17–19, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton (1021 Koger Center Boulevard, Midlothian, VA) as we welcome 175+ tattooers, fine artists, and creators from around the world for a weekend of live art, education, and cultural exchange. Supporting Art That Makes a Difference
Proceeds from this year’s Live Art for Charity Auction—a signature convention event that brings live painting, collaboration, and community together—will directly benefit Studio Two Three’s mission to support art-making for personal and social change. Festivalgoers will also have the opportunity to visit Studio Two Three’s outdoor activation booth featuring live screen printing, where they can pre-order or print exclusive shirts and tote bags on-site.
In addition, Studio Two Three will offer discounted memberships during the weekend, allowing attendees to join a creative community with 24/7 access to printmaking facilities, studio space, and workshops. Check out their events and workshops here.
RTAC will welcome Studio Two Three’s network of volunteers, artists, and members throughout the weekend ahead of and during “Camp Two Three,” their annual fundraising auction on Saturday, October 18 at 7 pm. Both organizations will collaborate on a robust social media and email marketing campaign to promote the partnership and invite supporters to participate in the convention and auction.
“The Richmond tattoo scene has always been about more than ink—it’s about nurturing creativity and community for artists and for those who support the arts,” said Jesse Smith, convention co-host and owner of Loose Screw Tattoo. “Partnering with Studio Two Three brings all of that to the surface. They’re doing important work in our city, and we’re proud to spotlight them in such a dynamic way.”
A Growing Legacy of Art and Impact
Now in its 37th year, the Richmond Tattoo & Arts Convention has evolved into a major East Coast arts and culture event, drawing thousands of visitors and featuring tattoo competitions, artisan vendors, seminars, celebrity meet-and-greets, and one-of-a-kind experiences.
This year’s convention is supported in part by the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Special Events & Festivals Sponsorship Program and Microbusiness Marketing Leverage Program, which aim to grow overnight visitation and traveler spending across Virginia.
