This years Academy will be hosted by Sessions and explore how familiar tattoo imagery can become something original. Through skulls, traditional subjects, and other recognizable ideas, the presenters will break down how they use shape, composition, exaggeration, and personal style to put their own spin on a design. Attendees can draw along, ask questions, and see how the same starting point can lead to completely different results.

What should I bring with me?
Bring your iPad, and anything you need to be comfortable for a day of learning and collaboration. (Water, snacks, caffeine, etc.)
What's the food situation?
After the Presenter sessions are wrapped up we will be serving pizza and having a drink and draw in the hotel Atrium. There's a bar and restaurant onsite for all your food and beverage desires.
Can I get a hotel room the night before or after?
Totally, since we take over the whole hotel for the weekend of the convention you can get your room through this link. If you try to call the hotel they will just direct you to our website.
Any suggestions on how to prepare for the Academy?
Try think about some questions you might want to ask the presenters. Many of them will take question after their presentation. Get a good nights rest and arrive a little early.
