Lake Stephens
Lake, the artist formerly known as Jenna Stephens, has been tattooing for 15 years. Hailing from Pennsylvania, she’s traveled the world and tattooed across the East Coast before settling in Richmond. This background, and the unique experience of being an amputee offers her a different perspective on the power of tattooing and our ability to take control of our bodies. This understanding is crucial to her work in decorating each and every client with the tattoos that they’re looking for. Drawing designs directly onto the body with sharpie, working with her clients to build each and every design, is her preferred method of constructing tattoos. No tattoo is too small, or “simple”. She specializes in black and grey, fine line, illustrative and ornamental tattoos but will take on some color projects if she thinks she’d be a good fit for the project. Catch her by the river with her pups or at her studio, Moving Mountains Tattoo in Jackson Ward Richmond.
