The Almighty Hermit

Prentice Carroll is a Richmond, Virginia-based artist, born in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and raised in the Tidewater region of Virginia. Emerging from a graffiti background, Carroll developed his visual language through years of experimentation before studying Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Washington. His work combines influences from street art, illustration, muralism, and contemporary design, creating bold, colorful compositions that often feature symmetrical imagery, stylized creatures, and nature-inspired themes. Through murals, paintings, and digital works, Carroll explores the intersection of urban culture and imaginative storytelling.
