Jessica Simmons
Jessica is Virginia’s preeminent Master Piercer with 32 years of piercing experience. She established River City Tattoo Company in Richmond, Virginia in 2002 which now has 4 locations and is partnered with Galaxycon doing large scale piercing at conventions coast to coast. She has been appointed by Richmond’s Governor Timothy Kaine as the state representative for the tattooing and body piercing industry in Virginia.
Jessica serves as an instructor for the American Red Cross. Jessica created and oversees their apprenticeship piercing program for River City Tattoo and provides in services to the local hospitals on emergency jewelry removal. She has lectured at VCU/MCV where she previously attended. Jessica actively works with other states across the US to improve upon regulations and Standards of Practice and Procedures.
